It’s no secret that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has been putting in serious work to pack on muscle while preparing to play the lead in DC’s Black Adam franchise. Even as filming for the movie gets underway, however, the actor continues to show off his impressive gains, and apparently has no intention of pausing his intense workouts even while on set.
In his latest Instagram post, the 48-year-old star posed inside his cherished “Iron Paradise” with his back turned to the camera, showing off his eye-popping physique while wearing a cutoff “Project Rock” hoodie emblazoned with the logo “Hardest Worker in the Room.”
The Rock also included a telling quote from singer Johnny Cash in a caption to the post: “I’d love to wear a rainbow every day/And tell the world that everything’s okay/But I’ll try to carry off a little darkness on my back/’Til things are brighter, I’m the Man In Black.”
Eagle-eyed followers of The Rock’s social media accounts may recall that it’s actually a throwback to an inscription found on the first pages of the Black Adam script, which Johnson revealed on his Instagram about three weeks ago. As for the photo, well, it’s just the latest in a series of images the actor has been sharing of his increasingly—read: terrifyingly—jacked physique, including a couple that prove Johnson is very much onboard with this summer’s trend of men showing off their quads.

The Rock concluded his post in a reflective mood, and we can only hope he’s on his way to enjoy some celebratory tequila. “Great training session before sunrise and a helluva week training,” he added. “Thank you guys for all your support and excitement for this film—we’re motivated to deliver for you. Finish your week strong 💪🏾.”
