Check your pantries: Some of the most popular powdered drinks in the United States are being recalled for potentially having pieces of glass or metal, the FDA announced Tuesday.
Kraft Heinz has issued the recall for some batches of Country Time Lemonade, Tang, Arizona Tea powdered drink mixes, and limited Kool-Aid powdered drinks that have “best by” dates between May 10, 2023, and Nov. 1, 2023.
Some Country Time packages with best by dates of Sept. 15, 2023, and Tang packages with best by dates of Aug. 20-21, 2023, are also being recalled in Canada.
An internal company review of its manufacturing facility first discovered the problem. If you have any of the affected products, the FDA says to either throw it out or return it to the store. You can also contact Kraft Heinz from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday-Friday at 855-713-9237 in the U.S. and 855-268-1775 in Canada.
The was no word yet if anyone had been injured from the metal and glass pieces.
