Based on what Rabe told us for this installment of Momsessed, the answer is yes. While raising a preschooler and welcoming a new baby during a pandemic, she has definitely done her research. This New Yorker, who now lives with in Los Angeles with her partner Hamish Linklater and their daughters, was eager to offer up tons of chic favorite kids’ brands, including some we’ve never heard of but instantly covet, too. Turns out, she’s the kind of person who has a go-to stroller recommendation, thoughts on baby skin care, and a kids face mask she’s ready to tell all her mom friends about. The books I’m currently reading
Good Neighbors, by Sarah Langan, for pleasure. Anything by Emily Oster for parenting (but also pleasure; she’s brilliant).
The snacks I always have on hand for my daughters
For my baby, the puffs from Yumi. For my toddler, a banana is really the go-to, but we both like Daily Harvest.

The beauty product I never leave the house without
The EO hand sanitizing spray, for all the reasons we are all too familiar with! They use the right amount of ethanol alcohol and have great scents. They are my older daughter’s favorite (no stinging!).
The app that makes my life as a parent easier
Audible.com, for all my audiobooks.
The parenting accounts I love to follow
I follow @theconsciouskid (which has resources to promote equity and educate children about race), and Theresa Palmer and Sarah Wright Olsen’s @yourzenmama.

The non-screen things that keep my daughters occupied
For my 4-year-old: lunii (a screen-free storytelling device) is fabulous; organic play dough from the dough project; Kiko+ and gg makes beautiful toys and games.
For my baby: everything from Lovevery they make such beautiful things that she genuinely spends hours with. And I know it’s a classic, but i’ll just say it: The BabyBjörn Bouncer is a classic for a reason! And I love wearing my kids in a carrier. My favorite is the one I have from Artipoppe. I think it’s chic.
Baby and toddler essentials I recommend to my friends
The Babyzen YOYO stroller and the DockATot are, in my opinion, two of the greatest inventions for children and parents alike. When pregnant friends ask me what to get, I always lead with those two. Also, while pumping is never something I’m thrilled about, the Elvie Pump has TRULY made it easier, when it’s what has to happen.
The kid-friendly music I don’t hate playing in the house
I’ll always love Raffi. We also listen to The Nutracker non-seasonally. Both remind me so much of my own childhood. My older daughter loves the Mamma Mia! soundtrack with a wild passion, and everyone is pretty happy about that. Also, the Chicks and Noah Cyrus! “Kid-friendly”-wise we may skip a track here and there, but for the most part, we just play it, sing, dance, repeat.

My favorite subscription for my kids
YUMI! YUMI! YUMI! I’ve subscribed with both my children and, for me, it’s been a game changer. The most delicious (I’ve tried them), clean, organic baby food. We use it at home and when I’m traveling with the kids on location. I’m very grateful this company exists! The Dopple (for kids clothing) is also incredible. (More on this below.)
The skincare and bath products I love to use on my daughters
I’m addicted to BAEO products. They are so clean and lovely, the lip balm is my favorite for myself too. Everything from Weleda (love their kids toothpaste). Coterie and Honest make my favorite diapers. I just tried the Pipette sunscreen and it was great.
The clothing brands I love for my kids
The Dopple is a brilliant site and has introduced me to such beautiful clothing lines, I wouldn’t have otherwise known about like Olivier London (every single thing), Minnow Swim, Coucou Boston, Petite Lucette, A Monday in Copenhagen. For staples, Mori is great and Tøy, Pehr, Flora and Henri, Lovely Littles and Mabo. Also, my friend has a beautiful line called de Buci Baby, which makes my favorite blankets and burp cloths and teddy bears. Rothys makes a kid mask that I want to shout out about on a megaphone to parents everywhere. Just get it; trust me!
How I keep my wardrobe on point
I have become Instagram pen pals (is that a thing?) with an amazing designer named Kas Maria and she makes the most wonderful, whimsical pants and shorts. She sews them all to order; they are very special. I have them for the girls and myself. Also, my favorite kids’ pajamas are from Petite Plume, and turns out their adult pajamas are perfect too. I never thought I would appreciate matching, but occasionally I just lean in and it really tickles me!
