Vanessa Bryant & Her Daughters' Heartwarming Thanksgiving Tradition Will Bring Tears to Your Eyes

Vanessa Bryant and her three daughters — 19-year-old Natalia, 5-year-old Bianka, and 3-year-old Capri — had the time of their lives ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, and they’re all beaming in a series of blissful snapshots posted to Vanessa’s Instagram account on Friday! Decked out in bright smiles and Disney-themed ‘fits, it’s clear that Kobe’s girls are in their happy place.

From taking photos on rides, to posing with their favorite Disney characters, the Bryants’ pre-Thanksgiving girls’ trip looks like a blast. Vanessa even gave Bianka an uplifting pep talk prior to her first ride on Space Mountain. “It’s gonna be so awesome-awesome!” Vanessa encouragingly promises an apprehensive-looking Bianka. “It’s amazing! Are you so excited? It’s a big-girl ride!” Afterward, Bianka looks exhilarated as she exits the ride, saying, “That went super fast!”

“I’m so proud of you!” says Vanessa. “Good job, mama!”

Big sister Bianka wasn’t the only one experiencing a Disney milestone; Capri was going on a roller coaster for the first time too — albeit the arguably tamer Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. She seemed all for it while waiting in line, as Vanessa asks, “Koko, are you going on your first roller coaster?!” — but on the actual ride, when Vanessa says, “Koko, do you like roller coasters?” Capri looks noticeably unsure, even though she confirms with a barely-audible “Yeah.” (“Koko Bean” is Capri’s nickname, in honor of her late father, Kobe Bean Bryant.)

The sweetest part of the whole excursion wasn’t the fun the Bryant family was having, though — it’s the family’s connection to Disney. Disneyland was a place that Kobe and Vanessa took their girls regularly, and even went on dates there, as documented on Kobe’s own Instagram account before his death.

Vanessa has continued the tradition of taking her daughters to a Disney theme park, typically around the holidays, in a move that surely makes them all feel closer to Kobe and the late Gianna “Gigi” Bryant, who also tragically died in the same helicopter crash as her father. It’s a heartwarming tradition that lets the girls’ Disney-loving dad live on in the fun memories they make.

“Kobe will always be the Mickey to my Minnie,” Vanessa wrote in a 2020 Instagram story on what would have been the LA Lakers star’s 42nd birthday.

These celebrity fathers are all proud to be “girl dads.”
