Kris Jenner Reveals The Skincare Tips That Keep Her Glowing At 65

There are many things that prove captivating when watching Keeping Up With the Kardashians, but one thing that continues to draw our attention is the radiant appearance of “momager” Kris Jenner. At 65-years-old, Jenner appears to be defying the ageing process. If there’s a fountain of youth, you can be sure that this woman knows its location and drinks from it freely. Her skin is plump, glowing, and seems perpetually youthful to the point where we can only ask: what is her secret?

Thankfully, the star has revealed some insights into her skincare regimen and even teased that a new title of beauty entrepreneur could be on the horizon for her as she flirts with the idea of releasing her own skincare line. Rumours of such a thing have been swirling since Jenner filed to trademark “Kris Jenner Beauty,” “Kris Jenner Skin” and “Kris Jenner Skincare” with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

In a recent interview with Wall Street Journal Magazine, Jenner revealed: “About four or five years ago, I decided to formulate a skincare line…I had some samples done up. So I do have a skin-care line that I love that’s ready to go…When the time is right, a year from now, maybe two.” Notably, such an endeavour may see her go into direct competition with daughter Kylie, whose own skincare line continues to sell out at rapid speed. But given that Jenner is more mature, it could be that her skincare line specifically targets older markets.

But while it might be some time before we get our hands on products formulated by the 65-year-old herself, Jenner has shared the secrets behind her eternally youthful appearance. She told the publication that she has always invested in her skin. “I’m obsessed with my skin and have always taken really good care of it,” she told WSJ. “I had my first facial when I was a very young girl and just never stopped, really. It was always a priority.”

To this, Jenner also added that she thinks starting at a young age is always beneficial. “When I was really young, I realised the value of a super-creamy moisturiser and getting facials from time to time to really help take care of my skin, prepping it for your night treatments,” she told Refinery 29.

Though Jenner knows the value of investing in your skin, her routine is a lot more simple than you’d expect. When it comes to her skincare routine, she keeps it straightforward and is known to favour moisturisers by Thibiant Beverly Hills and La Mer. “Wash your face every night using a hot Terry cloth washcloth. It acts as a natural exfoliant by loosening dead skin cells, opens up the pores, and softens the skin ” she told Poosh.

Jenner is also an open book and while some celebrities refuse to talk about the work they’ve had done, Jenner expressed that she’s a fan of botox. She told People that it’s something she has been doing for some time, saying “it’s been really great. If you’re responsible, and you talk to your doctor, I think it works.”

Perhaps the biggest takeaway from Jenner though is the importance of SPF, something many of us are guilty of neglecting in our youth. “When I was growing up, we just put baby oil and iodine all over and sat there with a reflector on the beach and it was as much sun as we could get,” said Jenner. “We didn’t know any better. Now, this generation really takes care of themselves in a way that we just weren’t educated to back in the day. Just the other day, all the kids were in the pool, and they were slathering on sunscreen and I thought, OK, good point, better get something for my face.”
