Hello hello! I’m Sanibel, your newest, fluffiest family member! I don’t know your name yet, but I do know that you’re a very special person—you’re my adopter!
Here at the Cruelty Recovery Center in Columbus, Ohio, I’ve been getting to know everyone, and making lots and lots of friends. They all know me as a total sweetheart, and you’ll see that, too! I’ve been patiently waiting for you to find me because I know you’ll return the love that I give you every day!
Once you bring me home, there’s plenty for us to look forward to! I’m quite content with some low-key activities each day, especially slow-paced walks through the park, where I can sniff around and find all the fun smells along the way! After that, let’s just kick our feet up, relax and spend some quality time together. I love a nap on a comfy bed, and a tasty treat to munch on is always exciting! We’ll make a fine team, enjoying the best parts of life together.
When I see my doctor at the CRC, they let me know how unique and amazing I am! They also told me that my adopter should know a few things to take the best care of me. I experience chronic inflammation, and though I’ve had every test possible, the cause remains a mystery. I also have dysplasia and arthritis in my hips, but due to the mysterious inflammation, I can’t get surgery for those issues. All that said, my current medications have me feeling super comfortable and happy, so a helping paw when it comes to medication management is a must! I know it’s a unique situation for us, but I know that you’ll help me on my journey. And don’t worry, I’ll be sure to show you just how grateful I am to have you! If you help keep an eye on my needs, I’ll be certain to keep an eye on you, too.
If you do already have any dogs in your home, please let my friends at the CRC know! They’d like to set us up for a playdate to make sure we get along. Since I have to keep my energy low, I’d do best with another dog who won’t run circles around me and get me too excited! Another low-energy dog friend would be great, but I know I’d do perfectly well as your only dog, too. That just means I get all your love and affection!
I hope you’re looking forward to meeting me—now that we’ve met virtually, I know that you’ll be here any day now! All you have to do now is fill out my adoption application. My CRC friends will reach out to you soon after that!
