Actor Anthony Anderson is the latest celebrity pledging to get rid of his dad bod this summer. Joining Will Smith, the 50-year-old Black-ish actor and To Tell the Truth host vowed to work on getting back in shape over the next 12 weeks.
Anderson made the announcement on Instagram yesterday, along with a proud, hands-on-hips pose showing off the pandemic pounds that he—like millions of other guys in quarantine over the past year—has packed on in recent months.
It’s not the first time Anderson has referenced his desire to get fit, either. Last month, he shared a viral video to his 1.6 million followers about letting his summer body know it’s time to prepare for the season. Now he’s taking another step towards that goal by accepting Smith’s fitness challenge—aka, the #BigWillieChallenge.
“So this is what we doing,” Anderson wrote in the post’s caption. “12 weeks! No trainers! All on our own?! Challenge accepted! Let’s go!”

With all the celebrities and fans posting their dad bods in solidarity over the past week, Smith shouldn’t have any trouble calling in a few cameos to help support his recently announced YouTube series. Actor Marlon Wayans also joined in this week with a shirtless selfie of his own, setting an ambitious goal of having a “sick” body by late July. (He seems to be well on his way.)
